The band are releasing a new 7″ single with Nicole Atkins
Bash & Pop, the rock group formed by the Replacements’ Tommy Stinson, have announced a new 7″ single, featuring two songs produced by and featuring singer-songwriter Nicole Atkins. The tracks “Too Late” and “Saturday” will be available digitally and on a limited edition 7″ on November 24 via Fat Possum. Listen to the first single “Too Late” below. “After hearing ‘Goodnight Rhonda Lee,’ a lightbulb exploded over my head and I knew I had to get Nicole to sing a song with us that I had written nearly 12 years ago, recorded several times, and ultimately never captured properly,” Stinson said in a release. “I’ve been a fan of Tommy and his music for a very long time,” Atkins said. Bash & Pop have also announced a fall tour with support from the Psychedelic Furs—check out the dates below.
Bash & Pop recently released their first album in 24 years, Anything Could Happen. Their newly reformed lineup now includes lead guitarist Steve Selvedge (The Hold Steady), bassist Justin Perkins (Screeching Weasel), and Joe Sirois (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones) on drums. Atkins released Goodnight Rhonda Lee this past July.
